The Repair Café, that will take place in AB on March 13 (12AM-5PM) is a neighbourhood initiative to promote repairing as an alternative for throwing away. We want to maintain reparation knowledge, and strengthen social cohesion in the neighbourhood by organising repair meets.

Repair Café is a free event where neighbours help each other to repair all sorts of objects. Visitors bring along their broken stuff from home and take on the repair together with volunteer experts (such as electricians, seamstresses, carpenters, …).

From clothing to electrical devices, furniture, bicycles and electronica: pretty much anything can receive a second lease of life during a Repair Café. Computers or mobile phones are not part of the deal however.

Feel free to help us save as much stuff as possible from the rubbish pile.
