Zap Mama - FRI 26 APR 24
In 2024, Zap Mama will release their first best-of album: a recap of a very richly filled career. Belgian-Congolese Marie Daulne is an artist of many talents: she’s a singer, composer, activist, and teacher of vocal polyphony. Since the early ‘90s, she’s been at the helm of Zap Mama – a polyphonic female a capella quintet with which she conquered world stages and even garnered a Grammy nomination. Daulne also launched the term ‘Afropean’ to name the existence of a bicultural generation of Afro-Europeans. She introduces the world to her experience of ethnically influenced music and fashion.
Finale Humo's Rock Rally 2024 - SUN 28 APR 24
We’ve been waiting with bated breath for this year’s Humo’s Rock Rally! There were no less than 782 bands/artists/projects/indefinables to each send in three songs for the mother of all music contests, which holds its 24th edition in 2024.
Humo’s editors have whittled this vast number down to 53 promising acts who may come prove their worth during one of the five preselections, one in each Flemish province. After two semi-finals, the time will have come for the absolute apotheosis: the finale of Humo's Rock Rally 2024.
