This year, the (free) sandwiches during Boterhammen In Het Park (26 - 30 August) will be lovingly prepared by Enchanté vzw, the organisation behind Brooddoosnodig. With this project, they want to send every student to school with a nutritiously filled lunchbox.
This year, the sandwiches are being prepared by the Enchanté team. Their Brooddoosnodig project aims to provide every schoolchild with a full, healthy lunchbox. “A nutritious meal is essential to getting through the day. That’s as true for children and young people as it is for everyone else. After all, learning, playing and concentrating aren’t easy on an empty stomach,” Enchanté tells us.
Unfortunately, not everyone can count on a properly filled lunchbox. As in every academic year, some schoolchildren will go to class with an empty lunchbox. That’s why AB and De Standaard proudly support Brooddoosnodig and encourage their readers and audience to contribute to the filling of lunchboxes.
Treat someone to a full lunchbox
Can you support this project? Then either choose a school or make a general donation, confirm your choice, and Enchanté will make sure your donation gets to where it’s needed: “We want every schoolchild to have a nutritious meal. Parents, friends and family, neighbours and teachers all join forces to achieve this goal.”
Bring your old lunchbox to Boterhammen in het Park
There are multiple ways to contribute to this project. Do you have some old lunchboxes lying around at home? Bring them with you to the festival site! Enchanté will distribute them in the schools where they are needed.
We look forward to seeing you soon in Brussels Park to enjoy free concerts by Het Zesde Metaal, monokimono, MEAU, Willem Ardui, Elmer, Babs, Borokov Borokov, SEF, Deadbeat Larry and Jan De Wilde.
