From 23 to 27 August, AB’s summer festivals take over the impressive Gare Maritime on the Tour & Taxis site. Boterhammen in het Park is renamed Boterhammen in de Stad for the occasion, but still has a line-up full of Dutch-language delicacies to be enjoyed. 

For the 31st time, ‘de Bokes’ hosts the best Dutch-language acts. On Monday, Marzo, Meuris, Meersschaert & Van Lierde await to bring a treasure trove of darker Noordkaap material to life in a ‘metal minimalist’ version. 

On Tuesday, Mauro Pawlowski and Lien Van de Kelder as ‘Smartschade’ delve into the underbelly of Dutch-language song. From precious jewels to unapologetic slapstick: it promises to be a delightful trip through a series of beautifully hidden songs.

The legendary Brussels band Madou - a genuine cult phenomenon and a product of the early 80s - adorns the bill of 'de Bokes’ on Wednesday. They have some brand-new songs to play, forty years on from the release of their debut. 

On Thursday, Dutch writer and electropop queen Aafke Romeijn plays delightful, honest, cheerful and somewhat less cheerful pop tunes from her latest album ‘Godzilla’. 

Willem Vermandere needs no introduction, surely? On his 80th birthday last year, the Flemish troubadour and sculptor released his latest album ‘Confessies’. We are thrilled to be able to start the weekend with him on Friday evening.
