We will celebrate the second edition of our Europe Day festivities at AB on May 10. Starting from 6.30PM , we have an exclusive interview with the Brussels sweetheart Puggy, followed by a smashing showcase of three artists: Memória de Peixe (PT), Indian Askin (NL) and Last Train (FR).
The shows are free for all, so be sure to be on time at the door!
When putting together the line-up, we decided to take full advantage of being part of the Liveurope network of 13 amazing concert venues. We asked our fellow programmers from all around Europe to hit us with their best shots and recommend young national talents that are soon to make it big. The round resulted in an interesting set hailing from The Netherlands, France and Portugal, and the styles ranging from psych-rock to bluesy tunes with a hint of pop.
“Memória de Peixe is a duo of guitar and drums with an extra twist added. Sure, there is rock’n’roll and there is jazz but where does that avant-garde Chick Corea vibe come from? That is what tells them apart from other fusion jazz groups today. For me as a programmer, there are “live bands” and live bands.
