An Pierlé plays ‘Mud Stories’ (1999)
In 1996, An Pierlé made a noteworthy appearance during Humo's Rock Rally with her pure version of ‘Are 'Friends' Electric?’ by Gary Numan's band Tubeway Army. That immediately catapulted her into the final of The Mother of All Rock Competitions. And, just like finalists Arid and Novastar, she took all the time she needed to allow her debut to fully ripen. So ‘Mud Stories’ appeared three years later, and right away on major Warner.
With 16,000 copies sold, the album was an unexpected success – one that gave her a passe-partout for a much sought-after spot on stage at Rock Werchter in 2000.
As a part of the ◄◄ REWIND series, An Pierlé will play her classic ‘Mud stories’ (with a series of encores on top of that, of course) in its entirety.
