Moderat (Sascha Ring, Gernot Bronsert & Sebastian Szary, also known as Apparat + Modeselektor) will play a sold-out concert in AB on Wednesday 5 March. The heroes of IDM visit for the first time, to present their 2nd album ‘II’ to a live Belgian audience. Prior to the concert, the guys will make time for an interview and Q&A in Huis23.

Moderat's music is an exceptional mix of the better batter-work (thanks, Modeselektor) and subtle, tasteful sound-carpets and vocals (thanks, Apparat). Sometimes that produces dreamy, warm tracks... at other times the results are rousing, pumping passages. The pure craftsmanship of this trio guarantees music that aims for the hips and the head.

On March 5 we'll be chatting with the guys from Moderat about, amongst other things, how their 2nd album came into being, what their creative process looks like, what sort of gear they use to create their specific sounds, how they transpose all that onto a stage, … Who knows, there might even be a few producer's tricks to be picked up here and there.
