The gap between the rich and the poor is growing all over the world. In Belgium too, enjoying culture is becoming an unaffordable luxury for many. AB is collecting money to offer those less privileged a Solidarity Ticket, so that they, too, can enjoy seeing their favourite artist live on stage AB.
What is a Solidarity Ticket?
A Solidarity Ticket is a free or discounted AB concert ticket that we donate to less privileged music fans, via partner organisations. In order to be able to distribute as many Solidarity Tickets as possible, we need your generous donations.
How can I give a Solidarity Ticket to someone in poverty?
Are you a music lover with a few cents to spare? Then you can leave us your cup deposit (€ 0.10 per cup) during a concert at AB, add a donation of your choice when you buy concert tickets, or make a donation to the ‘Friends of AB’ fund (tax-deductible). All donations are used to distribute Solidarity Tickets to those who are eligible. Easy-peasy!
How are the Solidarity Tickets distributed?
We work with partner organisations such as Globe Aroma, Fedasil Zaventem, Hobo, Netwerk Tegen Armoede, Paspartoe and Brussels Platform Armoede (ARA vzw, Wijkpartenariaat De Schakel) to reach as many less privileged music fans as possible. Together with these partners, we also organise guided tours and other activities to give them a warm welcome.
We truly believe that, with a little solidarity, we can make live music accessible to everyone. Will you help? AB thanks you in advance.
