For 10 years now, Hobo has organized a New Year’s Eve party for more than 250 homeless people. Unfortunately, a party isn’t possible this year. AB and HOBO still want to mean something to these people, so we’re joining forces! We’re going to prepare a festive meal together in AB’s legendary backstage kitchen and go visit people who are homeless and isolated on New Year’s Eve. We offer them a festive New Year’s Eve meal with a warm smile. You can contribute too! For only €5 you can donate a meal on new year's eve to a person in need.
What is Hobo?
Hobo is a drop-in centre for homeless people in Brussels where we organise leisure activities and guide people in their search for work. We also work with many partner organisations and are committed to raising awareness of all that homelessness implies. During both lockdowns, we have adjusted our operations and opened additional reception centres where people could go for a hot meal, a shower or use tablets and PCs in a relaxing environment. The Hobo day centre is a collaboration between CAW Brussel vzw and Hobo vzw.
