Once again, from 28 August to 1 September, our free summer festival Boterhammen In Het Park takes over the Brussels Park (Warandepark). Following a couple of years in which the festival had to relocate, today’s best Flemish and Dutch-language artists return to the heart of Brussels.
The brilliant Dutch singer-songwriter Spinvis kicks off Monday with songs from his latest album Be-Bop-A-Lula. Next, the Belgian-Rwandan Porcelain id treats the park to their fragile lo-fi sounds and raw vocals. On Tuesday, the Brussels rapper LeBlanc steals the show with his lush accent and buckets of energy. The frisky second day will be brought to a close by a major surprise act. On Wednesday, it’s time for the Brussels premiere of superstar Pommelien Thijs and the razor-sharp Flemish hip-hop of Ysmé. Vieze Meisje lights up the kiosk on Thursday with a sumptuous blend of pop, performance, humour, and rave. On the same day, singer-songwriter S10 is her usual disarming and effortlessly unique self. We close Friday with two iconic names to ensure an iconic afternoon: Frank Vander linden and Laïs take to our stage.
Bar Chaud
This year, Bar Chaud comes to the Brussels park: the new hangout where each day of the festival brings something cool to experience. Chaud to chill with friends and family? Chaud for a dance or graffiti workshop? Chaud for a little prose and poetry? Chaud to try out yoga or qi gong? Chaud for a drink in the sunshine? You’re welcome from Monday to Friday right next to the kiosk in the Warandepark. The complete programme will follow soon.
Bar Chaud is a collaboration between AB & Timiss, PLEINDEJEU, Muntpunt, MetX moving music & Urban Center Brussels.
