AB got a make-over! As a visitor, you don’t notice it right away but this summer we installed 36 brand new, computer-operated hoists with a lifting capacity of a half ton in our hall. Say what?

The machinery in the Main Hall has been used daily for 25 years, to hang and safely move spotlights, set pieces, backdrops and projection screens high above the crowd. So it was high time for an upgrade in order to stay fully up to date for the next 25 years, in terms of ergonomics and lifting possibilities. Sounds sexy, don’t you think?

The units were installed in record time, allowing us to put them to use right away: for the hot, hotter, hottest concert by Flavia Coelho and Chicos y Mendez on September 5. We made the most of the concert-free period to make the experience for you, our audience, as perfect and intense as possible. Our tip: look up, next time you’re in our big red Main Hall. There’s more hanging in the air than you might think.
