THE GALACTICOS have just released their new single ‘Aunt Mary’ (from the album ‘Paint The Town Rad’ produced by Pascal Deweze) upon the world. Top-shelf Psychedelic indie-pop. What's more, they made a completely mad video clip for it, in which you – yes you! - can decide in which setting and in which mood they present the song. Do the interactive Galacticos-dance here
What's more, they've just canned an ABsession for the same single. On 22 February they'll be sharing the stage with that other lo-fi promise THE FUTURE DEAD. The Future Dead will be launching their debut ‘Ways Of New Amusement’ there. ‘A catchy debut full of guitar pop with a dent … fresh as spring, dry as a bone and extremely sing-along-able’. (Rif Raf). Tickets here.
On 10 March it will be the turn of STEAK NUMBER EIGHT and MUSTH. The former is still the youngest Humo’s Rock Rally winner ever (2008) and comes to present ‘All Is Chaos’, produced by Mario Goossens (Triggerfinger, The Black Box Revelation) and mixed in Seattle by Matt Bayles (Isis, Mastodon). ‘Bold, hits like a sledgehammer, extremely impressive!’ are the first of the reactions to already trickle in. Their experiences in Seattle could be followed via HUMO. We'll be opening the evening with MUSTH, whose roots are to be found in a mix of hardcore and post-rock. Tickets here.
