The exploration branches out, with Cairo-born musician /composer Maurice Louca in an AB Box curated by Nadah El Shazly on Saturday. Luik’s Cocaine Piss bring their brutal punk and raw energy to Café Central on that day too.
What’s more, on Friday’s programme there is also more poetry. With the likes of Hannah Silva and her innovative and brilliant vocal performances. Alabaster De Plume already made Shabaka Hutchings and Gilles Peterson his biggest fans, with his poetry meets jazz.
We finish every evening festively, under the banner of BRDCST By NGHT in the Beursschouwburg, with Britain’s Mumdance, Swiss producer-shaman Aisha Devi and producers ZULI and 1127 (who have flow out directly from the underground club scene of Cairo).
