On Saturday 21 December Braindance will step outside the familiar surroundings of AB Club and take over the AB Complex with an XL edition. We’re going all out, all night long. On the menu: innovative electronica acts and progressive DJs, completed by a mind-blowing production. Basically: AB as occasional nightclub that will take you to higher states.

Headliner for the night is Modeselektor. The duo Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary earned their stripes in the underground rave scene of Berlin in the ’90s. Since then they have been on an endless quest for the ideal bass drum or that one perfect beat. Many genres are handled during their search. Techno, complemented by IDM, a dose of grime and also a dash of electro? No worries. Anything is allowed, possible and desired. Rules do not apply. The ideal Braindance artist, don’t you think?

Modeselektor aplies only one rule during their live sets: Burn the house down. A best-of mash up combined with the hallucinating visuals of multimedia collective Pfadfinderei results in a show that will linger on many a retina and auricle. Just look at how that turned out at renowned festivals like Melt and Primavera Sound.
