On Saturday 21 December Braindance, AB’s electronic music concept, will be stepping outside the familiar walls of the Club to take over the AB Complex for an XL edition. All out, all night long. On the agenda: innovative electronic acts and progressive DJs, plus a production to remember. In short: AB as an occasional nightclub to transport you to higher states.
The Argentinian Amparo Battaglia certainly brings a boost to the Braindance line-up. As Catnapp, she combines pop, drum and bass and many other genres. The result? Intense and unique productions. Heavy 4/4 beats, syncopated rhythms or retro synths and diversity are at the heart of the Catnapp sound. All held together with more bass, more fun. An artist who thinks like that certainly has her place in the Braindance line-up.
The move from Buenos Aires to the more creative hotspot Berlin certainly paid off for Catnapp. After setting up her own label in 2017, 'NAPP Records', she soon found a home with Monkeytown, Modeselektor's label. Under their wings she came out with the outstanding album Break. A must to check out: The Mover, a cooperation with label partners Modeselektor. Think Grimes on MDMA!
Stylish: Rihanna herself chose Flame Bitch, YPMH and Back as the soundtracks for her own fashion show during the 2018 NY Fashion Week. Catnapp on the catwalk!
After Berghain, Boiler Room, Fusion and Melt, Catnapp is now including Braindance in her world tour. Also on the bill: Modeselektor (live), λ°νμ§ park hye jin, Le Motel, Palmbomen 2 and many more.
