The end of the summer holidays will once again be marked by Boterhammen in de Stad. Our super-cosy festival takes place from 22 to 26 august in Gare Maritime on the Tour & Taxis site. What can you expect? The finest Dutch-language entertainment of our time, of course! Every lunchtime! And completely free!
Flip Kowlier will be kicking things off on Monday with ‘September’: his latest album full of West-Flanders classics in the making. The Dutch singer-songwriter Maaike Ouboter will be plucking at our heartstrings on Tuesday with her crystal-clear voice and arresting lyrics. On Wednesday, Kapitein Winokio is set to hijack the stage along with his shipmates and Mevrouw de Poes. If you’ve seen the Kapitein live before you’ll know that he brings merriment to children and parents alike. Our friend from the north Lucky Fonz III promises to provide a dose of humour and emotion on Thursday with his beautiful songs and quirky lyrics. On Friday, we will be celebrating the final day of ‘de Bokes’ with Dutch rapper Typhoon, whose pearls of wisdom are meticulously wrapped in groovy beats.
This year, Boterhammen in de Stad is taking on an extra dimension with the AB summer terrace: a programme of brilliant fringe activities and cool workshops. Keep your eyes peeled on our social channels for more news soon.
