Taraf de Haïdouks, the most exciting Balkan Gypsy band, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and they got together again with the fantastically funky Macedonian brass of Kocani Orkestar for the occasion, just like 10 years ago. Under the name 'Band Of Gypsies' they still provide an irresistibly festive extravaganza whereby the two ensembles intensively interact and combine music from all over the Balkan and Turkey.
They kicked off their tour in AB on Sunday 12 December 2010, a searing Balkan clash that turned the AB upside down in no time. This week a fantastic album of that evening is out via our friends from Crammed.
