* Arctic Accents – Sounds from Finland 2011 - defines the Finnish music season in the Benelux at the end of this year. The campaign draws attention to all the Finnish music to be heard in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg. This occurs through the website www.arcticaccents.fi which presents all the performers and events, plus channels like Facebook, Twitter and other communication forms.
The campaign is organised by FIMIC, the Finnish Music Information Centre, in collaboration with the FINNISH CULTURAL INSTITUTE for the Benelux and the local Finnish embassies.
The primary partners are Ancienne Belgique and Vooruit in Belgium, Melkweg in The Netherlands and Rockhal in Luxemburg. There will also be projects in The Netherlands and Belgium involving the music of composer Kaija Saariaho.
By the way, in the AB there is also room for a possible extra expo or small concert. More information about that by then though, on the AB site, of course.
