Post-punk, disco, krautrock band MadMadMad will present their third album "Behaviour Sink Delirium" at the AB Club on Tuesday 24 October.
The album's unique title and inspiration stem from the 1968 - 1970 US experiment by ethologist John B. Calhoun. Its purpose was to study behavioural effects observed in the population growth of 3,000 mice in a safe, cosy habitat. The result was violent behaviour, social problems and cannibalism that led to extinction.
This experiment inspired MadMadMad to take a look at our society and how it resembles today's world. The way of life, social problems and mental health problems are on the rise and evolve because of the internet, media and beliefs. "Behaviour Sink Delirium" is a reflection album as unique as the band itself.
The press about Behavioural Sink Delirium from MADMADMAD:
- “The album builds by each individual track that has its own unique sound and journey. “Behaviour Sink Delirium” keeps ticking and getting bigger and bolder. Digging deeper into more spirited bass and guitar riffs, A.I out of this world synths to hardcore drum beats. It’s screams more more more. MADMADMAD add deep and meaningful lyrics to the mix. All together, you can feel your heart get swapped up with the madness and chaos of the album. Your feet are jumping up and down, your hands are in the air and you have smile on your face that you can’t get rid off. “ (When The Horn Blows)
(Mowno)
- "Morphic, non-binary and transcendental. ★★★★★" (NARC Magazine)
