“BRILLIANT!” (If BBC 6 guru Gilles Peterson can say that about Black Flower, then we can too)
Belgian ethio-jazz band Black Flower released their first album 'Abysinnia Afterlife' exactly ten years ago on Bruges label W.E.R.F. records. That album hit like a bomb and was one of the iconic records that helped usher in ‘the new wave of Belgian jazz’.
Things have been going well for them ever since and they’ve notched up five albums in the meantime. Their reputation transcends national borders and well-known fans worldwide include BBC radio icon Gilles Peterson and The Gaslamp Killer. They’ll be putting out a new album in the spring of ‘25 and our curiosity knows no bounds.
On 22.02, Black Flower will be at AB, and there are still tickets available. Warm up with the AB Session of 'Particles'.
