As of today, Thursday 24 March, AB will resume its concert programming and hold its brand new BRDCST indoor festival, as planned. In other words, the concerts scheduled for GoGo Penguin (last tickets now available!), Battles, Pomrad, Cocaine Piss, Mbongwana Star will go ahead, as will all Huis 23 concerts.
There are, however, a few changes to announce for the opening evening. Because of the closure of the airport a few of the musicians (the Michael Price Trio and Tsembla) will not make it to Brussels on time. Specifically:
- The location project – programmed for 24/03 in the City of Brussels Archive - involving the Michael Price Trio, has been cancelled.
- The Fin, Tsembla – scheduled for 24/3 at Huis 23 – is replaced by Innerwoud, who was the opener for Michael Price. Therefore, Innerwoud will be on a double bill with Brussels artist, Pak Yan Lau.
-
Steve Ignorant (Crass) – planned for 24/03 at ABClub - will be replaced by Brussels band Shetahr and El Yunque from Hasselt, to form a triple bill with already announced Cocaine Piss.
The BRDCST festival officially starts tomorrow evening THU 24/3 with the opening of the Pop Up Bijenbar (Honey Bee Bar), at 25 Steenstraat, at 5 pm. It is also the official launch of AB's very own beer (BEEER), brewed from the first harvest of honey from the bees on the AB roof, and the symbolic opening of this year’s bee season. “If the Bee Disappeared Off the Face of the Earth, Man Would Only Have Four Years Left To Live”(Albert Einstein).
