With around 400 concerts and projects per year, we aim to deliver an unforgettable experience to our more than 330,000 visitors. All this is managed by a motivated team of about 60 employees. We’re looking for a Communications Manager Projects & Festivals to strengthen our communications team.Tasks
- You will be part of team TCMATIC (Team Communication, Marketing & Ticketing). Together with ten lovely, experienced colleagues, you will be responsible for AB’s communication and marketing.
- You will be ultimately responsible for producing the communication for AB’s projects and festivals. Our current projects and festivals include: BRDCST, Boterhammen & Feeërieën, Black History Month, braindance, Sound Track, Youth L’AB, Outrageous etc.
- You will work hand-in-hand with the programming team to bring new projects and festivals to market.
- You will conceive, develop and manage the execution of communication plans for projects and festivals. These plans include all forms of communication: adverts in newspapers and magazines, radio spots, posters, online ads, social media content, influencer marketing, internal signage, etc.
- For the execution of the communication plans, you will coordinate with your teammates, including the social media manager, press manager, digital marketer and graphic designer.
- You will coordinate the texts for all projects and festivals. In some cases, you will write these yourself, in others you will work with external copywriters.
- You will safeguard the visual style of all projects and festivals in cooperation with our graphic designer.
- For some projects, you will direct the communication strategy together with external partners (e.g. Black History Month, Outrageous, Sound Track).
- You will manage a freelance budget used to outsource certain projects and festivals in the case of high workloads.
- During concert nights, you will sometimes be asked to man the reception desk. This task will be shared with your colleagues in TCMATIC.
- You have at least 3-5 years of work experience in communications. Enthusiasm and motivation are more important than qualifications.
- You have sufficient experience in a coordinating role and with directing colleagues.
- You enjoy the challenge of conceiving a project from A to Z and motivating your colleagues to work with you.
- You are empathetic, enjoy working with others and are able to communicate in an inclusive way.
- You have a talent for writing and can support copywriting and final editing.
- Ideally, you have experience with digital marketing.
- You can handle stress and are a thorough, well-organised worker.
- You can express yourself well in Dutch, French and English.
- You are familiar with the ins and outs of the cultural and music sector. You are prepared to work evenings and weekends.
- You have an affinity with Brussels and its diverse communities.
- A permanent, full-time employment contract with an immediate start.
- A salary conforming to the scales of the joint committee 304.
