ABBota is that annual two-day collaboration between AB and Botanique. This weekend friday 24th and saturday 25th of february. Already onto its sixth edition = 53 names since 2007 = apparently mostly from Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp and Luik (with, OK, an occasional Ardooie or La Louvière.)

Anyhow, our favourite research journalists from KnackFocus looked into the origins of all the ABBota acts. While they were at it they also literally mapped all the names. That was kind of them. And informative. As the large (student) cities clearly attract a lot of talent (with all their musical instrument stores?) All of Flanders appears to be covered (except the Westhoek again, of course, boo!)

But on the other hand, the right-hand side, at the bottom: where's that attack from the Ardennes? Or even a Famenne offensive? Or a Condroz assault? Somewhere 'Deep in the Woods' should surely cause some rock 'n' roll to rise?

Maybe also this call for rock 'n' roll.
