Balthazar-bassist debuts with Zimmerman
"I don't believe in Elvis. I don't believe in Zimmerman. I don't believe in Beatles."
(‘God’ - John Lennon)
Balthazar is on a temporary break and, because it’s in their blood, this temporary gap gets abundantly filled with... music! So in the coming concert season Warhaus (Maarten Devoldere), J. Bernardt (Jinte Deprez) and Zimmerman (Simon Casier) will all see the light of day.
Zimmerman’s debut ‘The Afterglow’ will be released late this year, whereby Casier hangs up his bass for a while and takes on both guitar and vocals. ‘The Afterglow’ is, in our opinion, heavily indebted to the band that Casier keenly admires: The Strokes. And that can certainly be considered a compliment.
Support-act will be She Keeps Bees, from Brooklyn and situated there at the crossroads where Cat Power, The White Stripes, PJ Harvey and Patti Smith meet.
This concert is a part of the Autum Falls festival.
