8:00 pm - Spookhuisje (B)
Certainly the most charming performer's name on the bill of this final Domino festival. Spookhuisje conceals a man from Brussels who is known for his masterful guitar style that is influenced by Indian raga grand-masters, Jimi Hendrix, drones and psychedelica. Haunted!
9:00 pm - The Beautiful Band (B)
The Beautiful Band is the ‘superband’ encompassing Bram Devens (Ignatz), Paul Labreque (Sunburned Hand Of The Man), Laurent Cartuyvels (R.O.T.), Laurent Gerard (él-g) and Patrick Calvelo (Monokiri). They describe themselves as AOR whereby the refer to Crazy Horse and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Yet their individual character resounds, complete and identifiable. Beautiful Band members Ignatz and R.O.T. have both appeared previously on the AB stage for Domino but now they are here for the first time in collaboration.
10:00 pm - Wu Lyf (UK)
"Het allerbeste wat ik de laatste tijd gehoord heb, is WU LYF. De muziek is geweldig: een heel breekbaar grootstadsgeluid, maar je voelt dat het leeft.” (Eppo Jannsen in Humo)
“They're baffling. Wu Lyf are fucking brilliant." (The Guardian)
There's more than enough mystery surrounding WU LYF. Just check out their MySpace. Completely worthless if you want to immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Wu Lyf or: World Unite - Lucifer Youth Foundation. Their own website doesn't give many pointers either, unless to make you inclined to think that we're referring to a sect from Manchester. Or what do you make of the message “Wu Lyf are kids that play heavy, lost brothers looking for a place to call home...", followed by biblical prophecies about infernos and natural disasters. The world wide web offers more solace. Songs like ‘Christ Mass’, ‘Lucifer Calling’, ‘Spitting It Concrete Like a Golden Sun God’ and ‘Heavy Pop’ are immensely intriguing. Musically, they fall somewhere between krautrock, gospel, rap noir, Spiritualized, The Swans and – according to The Guardian - Egyptian hip hop, Health and Happy Mondays. For the first time on Belgian soil. An album is to follow in the course of the year.

►►► DOMINO FACTS…
Three acts on one evening with not one single official album between them. It was no exception at Domino. That's the way we gave an early platform to a series of Belgians who would later score.
Remember THE BONY KING OF NOWHERE who performed in ’07. His debut ‘Alas My Love’ would only be released in ’09. FRANCO SAINT DE BAKKER also appeared albumless in ’00 on the AB stage. It was ’04 before his debut was out. The releases of ‘Live At The Ancienne Belgique I, II and III’ followed later and we recognized Franco Saint members in bands like Novastar, Zita Swoon and Flip Kowlier. STIJN performed in the ABClub in ’03, his debut ‘Euphoric’ then followed in ’04 and he scored a hit with ‘Sexjunkie’. Finally, we also had DRUMS ARE FOR PARADES who opened big time in ’09 for A Place To Bury Strangers. Their debut ‘Master’ was released in '10.
Another fine link: Behind The Beautiful Band you will find performers like IGNATZ and R.O.T. Both already appeared on the stage of the AB and have a direct link with Ghent's (K-RAA-K)³ - who put together exquisite evenings in both in ’04 and in ’07. (K-RAA-K)³ was also architect of one of the most remarkable Domino evenings: ‘Cassette Crusts On Tape Trips ... A Cassette Night’ with only acts that were strongly anchored in the tape culture appearing on stage .
