‘Bring Mich Nach Hause’ is the new long-player from Germany's Wir Sind Helden. The band that is so immensely popular with our Eastern neighbours succeeds wonderfully at presenting their Anglo-Saxon sounding indie-pop in a charming manner in their mother tongue. Perfect stuff for those who like their Phoenix or Death Cab For Cutie in the language of Luther. This new album also easily went gold with its Number 1 position in the German charts. Wir Sind Helden's magical charm lies concealed in the voice of singer Judith Holofernes. Her lyrics full of socially critical puns are perfectly suited to this foursome's terribly catchy pop music. Last time – September 2007 - Wir Sind Helden played to a full ABBox (then with Balthazar as support-act) so those who want to be there this time had better be quick to reserve their tickets.
The first two Wir Sind Helden albums ‘Die Reklamation’ and ‘Von Hier an Blind’ easily sold 500,000 copies in their homeland and the band is also considered to be the flag-bearer of a new draft of German pop bands. That status also provided them with quite a few followers from over the country's borders, which twice resulted in spots on stage at Pinkpop and sold-out concerts at Amsterdam's Melkweg and the AB – where the band played a first concert to support the album ‘Soundso’ and fine single ‘Endlich Ein Grund Zur Panik’.
