Walk The Moon conquers the earth with Anna Sun. ABClub next!
Walk The Moon, support act to Fun. on 30/09, effortlessly charmed a loaded AB with their infectious synth-pop. The quartet from Ohio have proven to possess sufficient assets to shake an audience into complete ecstasy with superb sing-along songs like ‘Anna Sun’ (their first hit single that was played to pieces on Stubru) and successor ‘Tightrope’.
Walk The Moon's debut of the same name has already been lying in American racks for a while now and will be launched in Europe in October '12 with the assistance of RCA/Sony Music. An album full of sun-drenched synth melodies, strong hooks and radio-friendly grooves, with producer Ben H. Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective) behind the dials, it'll be sure to chase away the first signs of fall in your head.
NME placed Walk The Moon at four in their ’ten biggest buzzes @ SXSW ‘11’, the Texan showcase festival where new musical talent is extensively evaluated each year, and praised their “bold, broadly beaming sound” and “argonisingly catchy songs”. The Moonwalkers who got their band name from ‘Walking On The Moon’ by big example The Police, certainly meet the high expectations with their eyes closed.
They'll be crossing the big pond again early next year for a headliner-tour of Europe and following their strong debut with Fun. they'll be appearing in the AB for a second time. Nothing less than they deserve!
