Brussels trio Vuurwerk have been causing – how could they not – fireworks in international leftfield electronica circles for quite a while now, topped off by with their latest ‘G.R.I.P.’ EP via the famous British indie label Lo Recordings (Grimes, Four Tet, Aphex Twin).

Their sultry beats, dressed with the vocals of Max Colombie (Oscar & The Wolf) and Sylvie Kreusch (Soldier’s Heart) on the album, already made sparks fly this year at the Texan high-mass of showcase festivals SXSW and also during the Paris Fashion Week in Parisian club Silencio (designed by surrealist cineast David Lynch). In Paris, Gunther Van Assche of De Morgen was witness to how “een concert van deze jonge Belgen zich ontvouwt als een knetterende koortsdroom. Geen delirium in technicolor, maar een mindfuck in zwart-wit.”
