Vive La Fête, the electro band of Els Pynoo and Danny Mommens, has been around for 25 years. Time for a party! So the band is treating its fans to a birthday tour of Belgium and The Netherlands.

Aside from a series of live shows to celebrate their quarter century, last summer (on Els’ birthday) the band released a special live edition of ‘Je Ne Veux Pas’ with four never-before-released bonus tracks. Vive La Fête’s debut EP ‘Je Ne Veux Pas’ was released exactly 25 years ago. Danny was still playing in dEUS and found in Vive La Fête the opportunity to create something together with his girlfriend. Not only the party scene was enamoured, even within the fashion scene the stylish duo captured attention. It wasn’t long before Vive La Fête was giving outstanding performances at the invitation of Karl Lagerfeld for his fashion shows. Things went fast for Vive La Fête and Els & Danny surrounded themselves with additional musicians to develop into a fully fledged live band. With ‘Nuit Blanche’ (2003) Vive La Fête established themselves at the top of the electro-clash genre for good. Thanks to hits like 'Maquillage’, 'Touche pas’ and the dark-manic 'Noir Désir’, the band played all the world’s major festivals.
