Vieze Meisje is the musical manifestation of performance artist Maya Mertens. In 2019, she met Brussels-based producer and composer Azertyklavierwerke. Since then, they have been hosting the “Vieze Cirkel”, a club that guarantees “exclusivity for everyone” and strikes a balance between concert afterparty and cult. Vieze Meisje's performances are characterised by a raw physical impact and a mantric flow of prose at a high bpm that brings the audience to its knees.

With their debut album CUT COPY GUT, Vieze Meisje presents a prosaic feat that sounds like a banner to pick up in a chaotic world. Where the EP LIFE IS A VIEZE CIRKEL focused on finding coherence, CUT COPY GUT is beyond mayonnaise making and delves into experimental sounds and literary freedom. The album was created with regular producer Azertyklavierwerke and was mixed and co-produced by Roman Hiele. CUT COPY GUT is a radical embrace of contradiction and existence in its multiplicity.
