Through the sound barrier, right into the pop-pumped heart!
They picked up their band name from a theatre piece by Pulitzer Prize winner Arthur Miller, do it with two members on stage (Tyler Joseph sings, raps and pounds all sorts of piano keys while Josh Dun molests drum skins and ventures an occasional backflip), blazed out of the starting blocks with their Fueled By Ramen (Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Fun.)-debut ‘Vessel’ filled with energetic pop, and after the summer they'll be travelling with Fall Out Boy through homeland USA. That's the brief description of Twenty One Pilots, who are extremely popular on the other side of the pond!
Due to technical problems, they made a half emergency landing on the main stage of Pukkelpop this summer, but they still achieved cruising speed once they got the piano working again and went straight through the sound barrier, right into the pop-pumped heart!
To stick with the aviator vibe… For all those who like a good jump every now and then: Twenty One Pilots is ready for lift-off.
