British singer-songwriter launches latest album
54-year-old British singer-songwriter Tom McRae will release a new album in January 2024. Not long after, he’ll come to present it in the AB Club. McRae already has nine studio albums and three live albums to his name. At the time, his debut album was nominated for The Mercury Prize, a Brit Award and a Q Magazine Award.
Over the years, McRae has also written music for other artists, such as for Marianne Faithfull’s album Give My Love To London (2014). His music is also often used in films and for television.
McRae has established a solid reputation as a great live act, whether it’s solo, in trio, with a complete band or a string quartet. His relationship with the audience is very special, as anyone who has already seen him live will no doubt agree. Despite the melancholy angle, McRae’s shows are often funny, sincere and uplifting.
