Indie hero Felix Machtelinckx arrives with: 'Rock Bottom Ballads'
Tin Fingers loves a little melancholy. The Antwerp-based indie band released debut EP No Hero during the summer of 2017, its catchy vintage pop sound resonated deeply with Belgian indie culture.
On their second full album Rock Bottom Ballads – soon to be released via Unday Records – the band heads in a more dark and melancholy direction. Felix' wistful vocals form the leitmotif and are complemented by rich melodies, haunting piano sounds and sometimes even improvisations. Tin Fingers keeps it simple and remains close to the essence. That results in pure, minimal indie folk music that is poetic and soothing, but still impressive. Especially live on stage.
