Crooked Timber’ is the title of the new Therapy? album (released 23 March). The North Irish combo based around Andy Cairns and Michael McKeegan still guarantees top-shelf steely guitar rock. Established in 1989, 2 years later they had already made their debut album. They broke through here around the time of the 'Nurse' album and later received a huge status thanks to the single 'Nowhere', and of course their intense version of Hüsker Dü's 'Diane'. From their 2004 album 'Never Apologize, Never Explain', the single 'Die Like A Motherfucker' really caught on and it resulted in a well deserved appearance at Rock Werchter. So now the band is back on the live circuit again, and carrying with them the successor to 'One Cure Fits All' from 2006.
A new star has risen in the Flemish rock heavens, and its called Wallace Vanborn. This young trio from Ghent launched their first single at the end of 2008, "Rite Hands (Free Blank Shots)" , immediately entered the Volt playlist on Studio Brussel and camped for 3 months in Humo's Top 20 and the Pure Belgian charts on Jim TV. Wallace Vanborn serves its audience a wall of sound on a bed of melodic vocals and edgy drumbeats. Pumping and brutal, but at the same time fresh and modern. Their cast-iron live performances have already earned them the nickname "Wallace crush".
