Darlings of the Belgian stage return to AB.
With ‘A Brief Crack Of Light’ (out in early February 2012), the Therapy? album-counter now reads 13. This successor to ‘Crooked Timber’ from 2009 was recorded in the Blast Studios in Newcastle where, this time, the entire band did the production together with Adam Sinclair. The artwork was made by Nigel Rolfe (who also signed for the artwork on their albums ‘Troublegum’ and ‘Suicide Pact-You First’). A first single entitled ‘Living In The Shadow Of The Terrible Thing' will be released in advance.
This Northern Irish combo containing Andy Cairns and Michael McKeegan still guarantees top-shelf hard-as-nails guitar-rock. Established in 1989, 2 years later they had already made a debut album. Broke through here at the time of the 'Nurse' album and later achieved an enormous status thanks to the single 'Nowhere', and of course their intense version of Hüsker Dü's 'Diane'. The single 'Die Like A Motherfucker' from the album 'Never Apologize, Never Explain' (2004) really caught on, resulting in a well-earned spot on stage at Rock Werchter at the time.
Their previous visit to AB - where they played their 'Troublegum' album in its entirety - was sold out in a few weeks. So don't be caught out by Therapy?'s popularity with the Belgian audience and order your tickets on time for this concert in AB on Tuesday 3 April.
Notorious newcomers to the harder genre. Raketkanon blows, spits and hits to pieces everything and everyone in its path. With a line-up containing members Kapitan Korsakov and Tomàn, amongst others, Raketkanon already heads out on stage with the reputation of 'most dangerous live band in the land', after only a few concerts! Sludgy doom-riffs, furious drums, pumping bass-synths and hyperactive vocals. Steel-capped boots, safety helmet and bullet-proof vest are no superfluous luxury! Debut album is expected at the end of the year. You have been warned.
