Vaccines singer Justin Young has received doctor’s orders to have his throat operated as soon as possible. To make the operation successful he needs to rest his voice for at least 8 weeks. This means that the European tour will be rescheduled and that the Vaccines concert of 18 October at the AB will be postponed until Monday 19 December.
Tickets remain valid. If the new date is not suitable, tickets will be refunded until September 30 in the sales outlet where they were purchased.
British foursome conceals the best elements of The Kinks to Arctic Monkeys in insanely impressive debut.
British band The Vaccines have delivered an outstanding rock album in ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’. Simple rock songs that often clock in under 3 minutes (The Ramones are never far removed) and are so infectious that no foot remains unmoved. Their first single ‘Wreckin’ Bar (Ra Ra Ra)’ was thus also a huge instant hit, followed by that other earworm entitled ‘Post Break-Up Sex’. They just recently played the roof off the Marquee in Werchter, and in the same breath they announce a concert in AB: on Tuesday 18 October.
‘Where The Strokes stop and The Ramones began: that's where the music of The Vaccines is housed’. (HUMO **** after Rock Werchter)
‘Live, they exhibited the excessive bravado of a young group that still has everything to prove’. (De Morgen *** after Rock Werchter)
