Third rousing visit to AB by this foursome from London
‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’ or: the title of the first album (from ‘11) by this exciting foursome from London that stepped into the music world with open eyes, an open question, and plenty of bravura. According to the British music press, the country hasn't brought forth a rock group of any significance since the Arctic Monkeys. The Vaccines replied with ‘Wreckin’ Bar (Ra Ra Ra)’ (‘10). A single that lasted only 1’24” and connects The Ramones with The Libertines in an infectious manner. Some radio stations just played it twice in a row to fill the gap. The Vaccines make pop music sound fresh and exciting again.
Released this year, they made their third album ‘English Graffiti’ with Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, MGMT, Tame Impala). They sought him out because he made the American riot grrrl band Sleater Kinney sound so wonderful live on their album ‘The Woods’ from ’05. Ready for their third AB visit?
