The Soft Pack, previously The Muslims, won our hearts last year already with their untitled debut EP on 1928 recordings. Hmm, well “EP”, it was no less than 10 songs that you can't get out of your head already after just one listen. We were wondering if garage-rock would revive. It did and it comes straight from San Diego, with the right songs and the right attitude. Good stuff! In the meantime, they've opened for the The Last Shadow Puppets and Franz Ferdinand, and they signed to the Heavenly label (here via V2) - their first fully-fledged album will be released on it on 1 February.
1982 is a garage-rock band from Brussels that has already made it onto bills with Black Lips and Wavves. Moreover, they were third at the recent Kampioenschap van Brussel and Cutting Edge reported the following: ‘The third place was taken in by 1982, who displayed a large dose of nonchalant punk-attitude in their music’.
