After Frank Ocean, the youngest Odd Future spin-off.
The Odd Future - or OFWGKTA for Quiz Me Quickers ā is turning into a solar system with lots of planets. After all, Tyler The Creator (check: āGoblinā) and Frank Ocean (check: āchannel ORANGEā) have already become solo artists in their own right. Time for Odd Future members Syd Tha Kyd and Matt Martians ā together known as The Internet - to emerge from the shadows of the mother ship. In turn, they are taking Kilo Kish on tour with them.
The Internet (us)
Or: Odd Future members Syd tha Kyd (vocals) and producer Matt Martians who signed for Odd Future Records in ā12 for the physical release of āPurple Naked Ladiesā, an album that bathes in neo-soul, experimental jazz and funk. Pitchfork on the subject: āthe album recalls āBaduizmā-era Erykah Badu, soulful and patient and poetically narrative-driven.ā
Kilo Kish (us)
The Internet is bringing Brooklyn-based Kilo Kish - Lakisha Kimberly Robinson along on tour, or so the official paperwork tells us. Kilo Kish is part of the experimental KoolKatsKlub (KKK) collective and the āHomeschool EPāā was produced by The internet. In exchange, she can be heard on The Internetās āPurple Naked Ladiesā.
Poldoore (be)
Com Truise. Chet Faker. Fleetwood Macintosh. Poldoore. Yep, there are plenty of jokers in the music industry. We're only missing DJ Pull On My Finger ā surely he exists! - in this line-up. With Poldoore, from Leuven, you can obtain not only investment advice but also a serious portion of funk, soul and hip-hop. In '13, you can certainly expect a series of EPs and possibly a full album, one that would, without a doubt, be picked up by the radio.
