‘2010’, that's where it started. A brand new Warp compilation with tracks by performers that Warp reckons are going to make it big in 2010. From well-knowns like Flying Lotus and Rustie to Gonjasufi (by the way: his debut ‘A Sufi And A Killer’ is sure to be the most surprising album of ‘10!), Nice Nice, to this illustrious The Hundred in the Hands. Their debut single ‘Dressed In Dresden’ has been haunting our heads for weeks now. Raw groovy post-punk, with new wave and disco influences and a touch of Bloc Party, Wire and PIL. Or as the band itself describes it: “… with carefully composed poly-rhythms, jagged guitar lines, and layered, breathy vocals, the hundred in the hands keep the raw energy of post-punk illuminating their minds and studio one boogie-down beats churning in their guts”. The duo behind THITH is (ex-The Boggs man) Jason Friedman and Eleanore Everdell (who was also to be heard on ‘Dear Science’ by TV On The Radio). We certainly believe in a fine future for THITH.
