'O Mistério'! The beautiful mystery of that warm, versatile and bewitching voice. Teresa Salgueiro is of course ex-Madredeus. Since 1987, this groundbreaking ensemble has been winning hearts and has won over the world with its 15 successful CDs.

But since ‘Obrigado’ in 2006, Teresa Salgueiro has been bravely making her own way. There have been collaborations with Caetano Veloso, José Carreras, Maria Joao, Carlos Nunez.... And now, 5 CDs later and following an organic growth process, she is ready to meet with us again live.

‘O Mistério’ then, is her first CD all of her own material. The fruit of workshops with various musicians and, it seems, recorded in the unique setting of Arrabida abbey near Setubal.

‘O Mistério’ is released here via LC Music. And ultimately, Teresa is back where it all started abroad for her and Madredeus. The AB, that is, September 1991.

Whatever Teresa Salguiero touches vocally and musically will always be soaked in saudade and soundscapes from Portugal, and 'contemporary' from fado and folk, ambient and ethnic. Elegant, intriguing and subtly innovative.
