‘Pop songsmith who collaborated with Aloe Blacc, Moby, and José James’
American songwriter Taali is no unknown to AB and she charmed us back in ’21 as warm-up for the concert of AB habitué José James. Not coincidentally, as that was actually the year in which Taali – together with contemporary Becca Stevens – was nominated for a Grammy Award. Together with José James and producer Brian Bender, she also happens to be the mastermind behind record label Rainbow Blonde Records.
Taali studied at New York’s renowned The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music and spices her songwriting with electronica and folk. She will appear in AB in her own right for the first time, presenting her self-titled album ‘Taali’. Just as she will in other prestigious venues, such as Amsterdam’s Paradiso or on stage at Le Poisson Rouge (New York).
