To stand still is to go backwards. Sweet Coffee understand that all too well. Following the successful albums 'Memory Lane', 'Perfect Storm' and 'Naked City' Sweet Coffee is once again due for a new chapter. The fourth longplayer will namely contain close collaborations with a number of guest vocalists who each possess their own unique sound and identity.
The first single 'Tomorrow' is a perfect example of that. This track involved a collaboration with Monday, who will also fortify the band live during the busy festival summer. The release of 'Tomorrow' is right away the forerunner to the album 'Face to Face' that will be released upon the world in September '09. The music that Sweet Coffee made for the closing credits of the successful één-series 'Flikken' will also be included on this album as a bonus track.
By the way, Sweet Coffee opened this Spring for Simply Red in a sold-out Sportpaleis. Now present in the ABBOX!
Maximus rules his own universe! The world was able to discover that when he released his untitled debut album in 2008. A singer-songwriter on bass who's inspired by women, sex and rock 'n' roll! Three consecutive singles made it into high-rotation on Radio 1. Novastar invited him to support his Dutch tour, later in the year their paths will cross again in the Lotto Arena. A week later HUMO will be dishing up Maximus in a full Sportpaleis for their annual Pop Poll.
He embraces the audience live, holds on tight and drags it along in his deeply charming fantasies.
On 25 February he'll be opening the doors for Sweet Coffee’s ‘Face to Face’ release concert in the AB Box. An album on which various guests collaborated, including Maximus. So you can also expect a Maximus appearance during the Sweet Coffee concert!
Maximus’ new album (title: tbc) will be out in March 2010!
