The Sweet Coffee concert – initially planned for Wednesday 16 September 2009 – will move to Thursday 25 February 2010. Reason: they won’t be able to meet the planned deadline for the release of the ‘Face to Face’ album. Sweet Coffee is currently enjoying a creative boom and has decided to work with even more guest vocals, which will result in the recording taking up more time. In order to be sure that the live performance is in keeping with the album, Sweet Coffee has decided to postpone the show until early next year. Tickets for this concert remain valid.
To stand still is to go backwards. Sweet Coffee understand that all too well. Following the successful albums 'Memory Lane', 'Perfect Storm' and 'Naked City' Sweet Coffee is once again due for a new chapter. The fourth longplayer will namely contain close collaborations with a number of guest vocalists who each possess their own unique sound and identity.
The first single 'Tomorrow' is a perfect example of that. This track involved a collaboration with Monday, who will also fortify the band live during the busy festival summer. The release of 'Tomorrow' is right away the forerunner to the album 'Face to Face' that will be released upon the world in September '09. The music that Sweet Coffee made for the closing credits of the successful één-series 'Flikken' will also be included on this album as a bonus track.
By the way, Sweet Coffee opened this Spring for Simply Red in a sold-out Sportpaleis. Now present in the ABBOX!
