10 year anniversary with unique musical project
With artists like Jacaszek, Greg Haines, Juv, Simon Scott, and many others… Norwegian/German label Miasmah has released a consistent volume of albums over the last 10 years. Mainly dark, drone-y but especially wonderful, music.
To mark this anniversary, 3 important artists from the label will present a unique performance in AB’s Huis23:
Svarte Greiner is the alter-ego of Berlin resident Norwegian Noor Erik K. Skodvin (label boss and also active on B/B/S and Deaf Center). By means of his guitar, all sorts of sound devices and a series of effect pedals, he creates dark, filmic soundscape drones whereby time and space appear to become one.
Kaboom Karavan is the moniker of Belgian sound-wizard/musician Bram Bosteels. He produces a parallel world with a mix of electronica, homemade and old acoustic instruments. A world that evokes the vibe of a strange vaudeville, nighttime carnival of folk from another universe.
Kreng is the brainchild of composer/musician Pepijn Caudron. He is in-house composer for theatre company Abattoir Fermé, wrote work for dance, and currently applies himself to the writing of soundtracks. Originally starting out as a sample-based project, Kreng has developed into a project in which free-jazz, early electronica, improvisation, modern classic and field recordings are mixed into a unique sound.
