Genesis Revisited by original guitarist!
Steve Hackett was a member of the legendary Genesis between 1970 and '77. Back when prog-rock sounded adventurous. With mythical albums like 'Nursery Cryme', 'Foxtrot', 'Selling England By The Pound', 'The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway’...
Now this British guitar-star has completed a second 'Genesis Revisited' project. That is also a double CD (and a quadruple LP?). The album contains contributions from the likes of Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree), Roine Stolt (Flower Kings), Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth), up to and including Nik Kershaw too!
It will be a more than 2 hour long concert live, with material from those wonder-years plus songs that he composed for his solo career, with Mike Rutherford, for example. Fans can already look forward to classics like 'Firth Of Fifth' and 'Watcher Of The Skies'. As singer, we're expecting Nad Sylvan from Agents Of Mercy.
Add a sublime 'lightshow' to that and then this will be a quite simply glorious evening encompassing the 'best loved songs from his (and your) Genesis years.'
