Belgian sludge-force comes to revamp AB with sledgehammer n°4
Up joen muuuulle! Mercy, the announcement that this sludge-ruination from Wevelgem will be coming to demolish the AB bearing their fourth sledge-hammer (successor to ‘The Hutch’ in 2013) arouses the primal-West-Fleming in me from a deep sleep. But we'll let the distinguished Dutch Belgian back in to play… I mean, of course, ‘op jullie aangeziiiiicht!'
After taking a ride through Europe on the Marmozets (in AB Club on 8/03, and the darlings from Steak N°8 where there too, of course) and Prong tour bus, the four are ready for a new metal chapter, with producer David Bottrill (Tool, King Crimson, The Smashing Pumpkins, Wallace Vanborn) behind the dials.
‘Angels’, ‘Das Metal’ and ‘Klak’ could be discerned among the playful working-titles for their new album on Facebook. The latter is an object that the guys from Wevelgem certainly won't be throwing around on their next longplayer. So the new album is going through life as ‘Kosmokoma’. “We’re very excited” could be read there somewhere too, which means in Kortrijk that “we goan uw tandn kuisn mé een krusrakette up oes volgende ploate”. Sorry, that was that West-Fleming emerging again.
