Wiretap Scars – 20 year Celebration Tour
When At The Drive-In called it quits in 2001, two bands emerged from the ashes: The Mars Volta and Sparta. With Sparta, Jim Ward, Paul Hinojos and Tony Hajjar stayed closer to the sound we know from At The Drive-In but made the songs less experimental, but no less engaging. Their first full-length Wiretap Scars, a true classic of the '00 emo post-hardcore scene, turned 20 last year. Reason enough to set up their first European tour in 15 years, with a stop at Ancienne Belgique!
This concert is in collaboration with Flood Floorshows, busy with DIY shows, a vinyl label and distro since 2011. Like no other, they have their finger on the pulse when it comes to the subgenres within the punk, emo and hardcore scene. Through a personal approach, they promote events for artists from home and abroad, each time around the three basic values: passion, independence and amplification!
