Fascinating documentary on the influential New York artist
For 3 decades now, the clubs, galleries, studios, cinemas and streets of New York have been occupied by media artist Lary7. He is a true phenomenon and manages to inspire everyone he has ever met.
But, due to an absence of any form of self-promotion, he never became known to a larger audience. Nevertheless, that hasn't prevented him from having had a great influence upon the New York art scene for years now.
Director Danielle de Piciotto and musician, producer and member of Einstürzende Neubauten Alexander Hacke sketch a fine portait of Lary7 with this film and he finally receives the attention he has deserved for all those years.
