Frank Ocean & Anderson.Paak successor debuts with ‘Process’
Take note: if 2016 was the year of Anderson .Paak then 2017 will be the year of Sampha. Since first EP ‘Sundanza’, from 2010, this British producer/singer-songwriter has loaned his golden vocal chords to SBTRKT, Drake (in the genius ‘Too Much’), Kanye West and has worked as producer with Solange Knowles, Frank Ocean, Jessie Ware and Katy B. All the while, he continued to work diligently on his well-considered debut ‘Process’ that will soon see the light of day via Young Turks (there where great things like The xx, Jamie xx, FKA Twigs, SBTRKT and John Talabot reside). Forerunners ‘Timmy’s Prayer’ and ‘Blood On Me’ are certainly two inimitable explosions of intergalactic genius, so we don’t have to draw you a picture: we are expecting immense things of Sampha in Brussels!
